Maura Lenahan has a BFA in Metals and Jewelry from the Savannah College of Art and Design and was a CFDA+ graduate in 2014.

After completing her studies, Lenahan spent several years as a designer for an NYC based fashion jewelry brand before returning to her native Chicago to apply her market trend experience to a line of studio jewelry. Each of her pieces is hand fabricated using traditional soldering, finishing, and stone setting techniques by the artist in her Chicago studio.

I view my work as an alternative to fast fashion jewelry by presenting modern silhouettes made using traditional slow fabrication techniques that allow me to execute natural gemstone jewelry that is lightweight, low cost, and easy to care for and wear long past this season's trends.

Currently, Lenahan divides her time spent not at the bench between Gallery 2052 and Sailor in Chicago, Il.
